Multiple contraceptives
- Q: For birth control,
is a condom enough, or should I use something else--diaphragm, spermicide,
sponge? Which is best?
- Dr. Klein: High-quality
latex condoms are very, very effective in preventing pregnancy when used
correctly. That means using them every time, before the penis is put into
the vagina, even for a second. Using condoms in combination with another
method, such as foam or the sponge, increases your protection. It can also
increase your sense of safety, which can improve sex.
